This article explores city intersections as intelligence nodes using high-bandwidth, low-latency services for providing privacy-preserving smart city applications. COSMOS testbed experiments using edge-computing-based artificialintelligence techniques are reported, for monitoring of pedestrians, cloud- connected vehicles, and traffic management.
