A total of six species in six genera of the family Histeridae is documented from the collection of Yeungnam University, Daegu, South Korea.Platysoma(Platysoma)jongwookisp. nov. andNiposoma lewisiMarseul are described and redescribed with illustrations of the diagnostic characters, respectively. Key to Korean species of the tribe Platysomatini is provided.
