The article presents the establishment of a canonical basis (for the positive part Uv(Ln)) of Uv(Lg), when g is associated to a star Dynkin diagram. Furthermore, it presents several topics related to loop algebras, quantum groups, coherent sheaves, moduli spaces, induction and restriction funtors, and a class of simple perverse sheaves.
