This desire the Entomological Society purpose now to satisfy to some extent by the publication of the Canadian Entomologist... we hope and believe, too confidently, perhaps, it may be – that it will by and by grow and increase, and acquire goodly dimensions, and become a handsome and valuable exponent of the progress of the Entomological Science in this Dominion...” (Bethune 1868)
