RESULTSOLR was indicated due to the following reasons: chronic rejection in 18 patients (44%), arterial thrombosis in six patients (14.6%), recurrence of primary disease in six patients (14.6%), early graft failure in six patients (14.6%), hepatic vein thrombosis in two patients (4.8%), acute rejection in one patient (2.4%), and other complications in two patients (4.8%). An early OLR (during the first 6 months after PLT) was carried out in 21 patients and a late OLR (6 or more months after PLT) was completed in 20 cases. A total of 29 fatal cases were registered (70.7%), two (4.8%) intraoperative deaths, and five (12.1%) postoperative (0 to 11 days after surgery) deaths were registered. A total of 22 cases (56%) of perioperative hospital mortality were registered.Overall survival rate of this series was 29.26%(12 patients) and 1-and 5-year post-OLR actuarial survival rates of these patients were, respectively, 46% and 28%. The highest survival rates were related to hepatic artery thrombosis and ductopaenic rejection. On the other hand, graft failure and recurrence of primary disease were associated with low survival rates.
