K_4Ge_9与M（CO）_6发生亲核取代反应，生成[Ge_9 {M（CO）_5}_3]_4 ~-（M = Cr，1a; Mo，2a; W，3a）。M（CO）5和[Ge 9]4-在三个封端位置发生亲电加成，形成了具有晶体学C3 h对称性的三帽三角棱柱1a-3a。
Nucleophilic substitution reactions of K4Ge9 and M(CO)6 produced [Ge9{M(CO)5}3]4- (M = Cr, 1a; Mo, 2a; W, 3a). The electrophilic addition of M(CO)5 and [Ge9]4- occurred at the three capping sites to form almost perfect tricapped trigonal prismatic 1a-3a with crystallographic C3h symmetry.
