In order to enhance the quality of fingerprint image and reduce the implementation complexity of the image acquisition systemin AFIS(Automated Fingerprint Identification System),we propose a figerprint image capture plan based on the new fingerprint sensor chip-FPS200.And then the original image is enhanced by smooth filtering,sharpening,binarization.We use different parameters with the capture environment to experiment,the results show that the system can gain original fingerprint image simply and dependablely,and corresponding enhancement algorithm can be integrated into practical AFIS.
