Nowadays,underwater wireless sensor network(UWSN)and buoy network positioning technology are advanced technology in marine survey and mapping.Underwater target can be effectively located and navigated by buoy network positioning technology,which is also called underwater global positioning system(GPS)positioning technology,combining buoy network,acoustic positioning and GPS.A large number of cheap micro sensor nodes make up underwater wireless sensor network,which can be used for monitoring changes of seas and oceans,nodes localization,localization and navigation of underwater object of interest.At first,the shortcomings of buoy network positioning technology are analyzed in detail.Then a brief introduction of wireless sensor network is shown.And we divide the underwater wireless sensor networks into two categories, giving the current development of underwater wireless sensor network localization technology.Finally,we point out the technical problems and challenges to be solved,and provide a reference for further study of underwater wireless sensor networks.
