19例可评价的头颈部恶性肿瘤采用顺铂（CDDP）50 mg/m2 + 5-氟尿嘧啶（5-FU）1,000 mg/m2联合化疗，完全缓解（CR）2例，部分缓解（PR）7例，有效率为47.4%。认为本疗法作为新辅助化疗显著有效（75.0%）;最好进行2个疗程。当肿瘤组织学分类时，本疗法对高分化鳞状细胞癌有显著疗效（83.3%）。主要不良反应为恶心、呕吐、贫血、白细胞减少、脱发等;大多数是短暂的，可逆的。然而，有一些患者因肾脏疾病而停止化疗。
Combination chemotherapy with 50 mg/m2of cisdiamminedichloroplatinum (II) (CDDP) and 1,000 mg/m2of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) was carried out on 19 evaluable patients with head and neck carcinoma; as a result, 2 complete response (CR) and 7 partial response (PR) were obtained, with the response rate being 47.4%. The present therapy is considered to be significantly effective as a neoadjuvant chemotherapy (75.0%); it is desirable to perform 2 courses of treatment. When classifying the tumor tissues histologically, the present therapy was markedly effective against well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma (83.3%). The main side effects observed were nausea, vomiting, anemia, leukocytopenia and alopecia,etc.; most of them were transient in appearance and reversible. However, there were some patients in whom the chemotherapy was discontinued due to renal disorders.
