A note on this pair by Dr. Kopal in Bulletin of the Harvard College Observatory No. 911, pages 33-37, announces and discusses it as a new visual binary. The great improbability that a pair of stars of the 10th and 11th magnitudes about 20 apart should give evidence of orbital motion from observations extending over only 40 years led me to investigate the matter further. I have the following comments to make. The positions of the two stars derived from the data of the Astrographic Catalogue for the epoch 1896.30 and equinox 1900.0 are :
