心理规律和任何规律一样，具有客观性、普遍性、必然性、稳定性和重复性。心理规律可以从三个层面进行分析。第一层次是由两个总体规则组成的终极法则。首先，心理学依赖于主客体之间的矛盾。第二，心理学在于先天能力与后天习得知识的结合。第二层是基本规律，可分为心理内规则和心理外规则。第三层次是具体规律，是具体心理现象的终极和基本规律的表现。
The psychological law, just as any law is, is objective, universal, necessary, stable and repetitive. The psychological law can be analyzed at three levels. At the first level is the ultimate law consisting of two overall rules. Firstly, psychology relies on the contradiction between the subject and the object. Secondly, psychology lies in the combination of innate faculty and postnatal acquired knowledge. At the second level is the basic law, which can be classified into intra-psychological rules and extra-psychological rules. At the third level are the concrete laws which are expressions of ultimate and basic laws about concrete psychological phenomena.
