An accurate and precise settling tube is described having an inside diameter of 12 cm and a settling distance of 140 cm or more. It has three options for data handling: (1) recording data on a strip chart recorder; (2) recording data on punched paper tape; and (3) utilizing a dedicated mini-computer to handle the data.
