The article presents a case study of a seven-year-old boy suffering from fever and sore throat at Toyama University Hospital in Japan. The patient has been diagnosed to have acute cerebellar ataxia associated with a primary Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection after undergoing computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and three-color immunofluorescence analysis. The patient has been treated with hydration where his physical and neurological symptoms improved.
