The article presents the case of a 45-year-old healthy Japanese woman with multiple ulcers on her oral mucosa as well as blistering erythema on her hands. Medical screening of the patient found an allergic reaction to methacrylate, 2-hydroxy methacrylate. The case focuses on the risk associated with exposure to methacrylate monomers in dental treatment.
