Eleven flavonol glycosides were isolated and identified in four species belonging to the two complexes: Fagonia glutinosa and F. isotricha. The compounds show considerable diversity in glycosidic combinations of quercetin, but less variation in the glycosides of kaempferol. Four of these glycosides are newly reported in the genus Fagonia; the remaining seven compounds were previously detected in the six other complexes. The distribution pattern of flavonol glycosides among the investigated species is discussed in relation to their systematic position.
