The editorial discusses the importance of accurately diagnosing muscle‐invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) to guide treatment decisions and prognosis. The Vesical Imaging‐Reporting and Data System (VI‐RADS) has shown promise in diagnosing MIBC using multiparametric bladder magnetic resonance imaging (mp‐MRI), but has limitations. The article by Lu et al suggests that including the normalized apparent diffusion coefficient (NADC) value can enhance the VI‐RADS performance in diagnosing MIBC, based on a retrospective study with promising results. Further research is needed to validate the potential of NADC measurements in diagnosing MIBC using MRI scanners from different vendors and larger patient cohorts.[Extracted from the article]
