The method used here goes beyond the ordinary (ie, conventional) growth accounting method previously utilized; the method enables us to explain the effect and contribution of 9 exogenous variables to the growth of 8 endogenous variables at the same time as we will see later. This enables us to make a comparison with previous works and gives a richer content to the inter pretationof Japanese economic development.
