The effect of bast fiber mulch and non-woven were evaluated on off season tomato and soilless grass lawn production in consideration of harvest date,yield,cost and profit.It was found that bast fiber mulch and non-woven could be used for substitute of plastic film and synthetic horticultural mattress.The so-called white pollution could be avoided and the sustainable development of horticultural production could be achieved.Some suggestions on RD,extension were put forward.
