Analysis of 6883 kidney transplants has shown that, when life tables were prepared, the proportion surviving was strictly arranged in order of decades in all types of donor studies—sibling, parent, and cadaver. This suggests that the older the donor kidney the less chance has the recipient to survive compared with those provided with kidneys of younger groups.
