did not exhibit marked rigidity, but spontaneous activity was minimal. The tonic neck reflexes were more clearly demonstrated in this specimen; manual extension of the head resulted in strong fore-leg extension and manual flexion of it was followed by marked fore-leg flexion. The level of the transection was not checked microscopically.
