Shimensi tungsten polymetallic deposit is located in Mesozoic Cu-Mo-Au-Ag-Pb-Zn ore belt,Jiangnan block,Lower Yangtze metallogenic province.Based on the regional geological setting and metallogenic geological feature of the deposit this paper analyses the ore-control factors in detail, such as country rock, host rock and fractures in the working area. The country rock is biotite granodiorite of Late Jinning period which is recognized the S-type granite in syn-collision volcanic arc developed on basis of immature continental crust during Neo-proterozoic era;the host rock,Yanshanian porphyritic biotite granite,fine-grained biotite granite, granoporphry which are Si,Al saturated rock of Ca-alkali series, the S-type granite derived from melting and cognate evolution of Jiuling batholith under intra-continental collisional compression;Shimensi fracture and Xianguoshan-Dhutang-Shiweidong basemental fractures, the ore-control fracture whose intersection controls emplacement of the ore-bearing granite and distribution of W-polymetallic deposits.
