Longtan reservoir with high dam and high storage capacity lies in the east-north area of Yunnan-Guizhou plateau.Based on the characteristics of the reservoir induced earthquake,geologi-cal structures and major faults,strata and lithology,seismic background and hydrogeologic conditions in Longtan area.And the reservoir may be induced earthquakes withMs6.0 toMs6.5.The analysis on the potential seismic risk of Longtan reservoir is helpful for earthquake tendency determination in this area.
