The heritability of intra-specific aggression in juvenile lobsters,Homarus americanus, was estimated with a view to selection for greater tolerance to high density rearing. Of three parameters employed in the analysis, two produced potentially useful values. No significant correlation was noted between aggressive behaviour and other quantitative variables such as high growth rate and vigour.
