In this paper we consider the drift wave turbulence in a strong magnetic field. Here we first establish the existence and uniqueness of a strong global solution to the initial boundary value problem for the model equations of the resistive drift wave turbulence. Second, by the standard method of passing to the limit, we establish the existence and uniqueness of a strong solution to the initial boundary value problem for three-dimensional Hasegawa–Wakatani equations.
