MethodsAdenylate Cyclase Assay. Adenylate cyclase was assayed by the general method of Salomon et al.(1974) using [a-32P] ATP as a substrate and [3H] cAMP to monitor product recovery. Assays contained in a final volume of 250 pL 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 1 mM [a-32P] ATP (20 cpm/pmol), 5 mM theophylline, and 0.1% bovine serum albumin. All results are presented as the mean of triplicate assays with
