Avian infectious bronchitis virus grown in ovo was purified by differential centrifugation and isopycnic sedimentation in density gradients. The purified virus was analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and comprised up to 16 polypeptides, 4 of which were glycopeptides. Bromelain treatment of the particles removed 3 polypeptides and 2 glycopeptides.
