The Cover Feature shows polymeric vesicles (polymersomes) formed by non-ionic polybutadiene-b-polyethylene oxide amphiphilic block copolymers immersed in an alkaline supernatant at pH 12. Polymersomes are loaded with a water soluble dye in aqueous solution at pH2. The polymersomes’ robust and stable membranes are able to efficiently sustain pH gradients of 10 units for a minimum of 8 days. This is an essential feature for engineering succesful biomimetic systems. More information can be found in the Communication by L. Ruiz-Pérez et al. on page 1987 in Issue 16, 2018 (DOI: 10.1002/cphc. 201800187).
