Kinetics of lithium-ion transfer at the interface between oxide-negative electrodes and organic electrolytes was studied using a Li4Ti5O12 thin-film electrode and ac impedance spectroscopy. We evaluated the activation energies of the interfacial lithium-ion transfer from the temperature dependences of the interfacial conductivities. When we used LiClO4/PC and LiClO4/EC+DMC as the electrolytes, the activation energies were 64 and 54 kJ mol(-1), respectively. On the other hand, LiClO4/DMC gave the activation energy of 37 kJ mol(-1), which is much lower than those in PC and EC+DMC. The activation energies of the interfacial lithium-ion transfer depended on the solvation ability of solvents. (C) 2014 The Electrochemical Society. All rights reserved.
