hree excavated truffle species Tuber badium, T. depressum and T. verrucosivolvum were described and illustrated from southwest China. Molecular analyses based on ITS and ITS-nrLSU concatenated dataset revealed that these species are dis-tinct from the known ones of Tuber. Tuber badium, T. depressum and T. verrucosivolvum differ from other species of Tuberin a combination of morphologically features including ascoma, gleba and ascospore.
