The seventh edition of the Iberoamerican Workshop on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI 2021), was organized by the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Brazil. The event has been held in different parts of the world, and as time has passed it has attracted more support. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and the workshop being held virtually this year, many people still participated both in terms of submitting papers and attending the various keynote talks and paper presentations covering a range of topics on human-computer interaction (HCI).HCI is the discipline that studies how people interact with computers and to what extent computers are developed to interact with people, which consists of three components: users, computers, and the interaction between them. HCI is defined as the understanding, design, evaluation, and implementation of interactive systems for use by humans. In this sense, given that the evolution of computers has resulted in computerized systems being purely interactive, there is a real need for the new generation of such systems to incorporate the concepts established by this discipline, providing users with all the benefits of utility and usability (easy to learn, easy to use), lower costs and fewer errors made by users, effectiveness, efficiency, motivation, and acceptance, to increase productivity (individual and organizational) and the security of both the system and the users, ensuring that both elements are appropriately integrated into the organizational setting.
