Separate groups of 120 5th graders observed a model who was either high or low in fluency or flexibility creativity dimensions. Multivariate procedures were used to assess treatment effects upon parallel and very different creative tasks. High model fluency significantly increased on the parallel task. A marginally significant increase in O fluency was noted on the stringent generalization task. Contrary to predictions, increased model flexibility produced significant decreases in O fluency and flexibility measures on both the parallel and stringent generalization tasks.(20 ref.)(PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2022 APA, all rights reserved)
