1986 ~ 1991年，在北京地区用8级和10级撞击式采样器和划线采样器采集了大气气溶胶样品。在2×1.7 MV串列加速器上通过粒子诱导X射线发射（PIXE）对收集的样品的每个粒度级进行元素分析。根据18种元素浓度的测量结果，得到北京城区气溶胶质量浓度（各元素浓度之和）的平均值为42 mg/m ~ 3，并讨论了北京市气溶胶的一些特征。
Aerosol samples were collected by using a 8 or 10-stage cascade impactor and a streaker sampler in Beijing area during the period from 1986 to 1991. Elemental analysis of each particle size fraction of the samples collected was carried out by particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE) at a 2×1.7 MV tandem accelerator. From the measured results of the concentrations for the 18 elements we obain the average value of the mass concentrations (total sum of these elemental concentrations) of the aerosol to be 42 mg/m3 in urban districts of Beijing and some characteristics of the aerosol in Beijing are also discussed.
