Light-scattering and osmotic measurements have been made on toluene solutions of fifteen fractions of poly (2, b-dimethyl-1, Cphenylene oxide), and viscosity measurements at 25OC. in toluene (15 fractions), chlorobenzene (7 fractions), and chloroform (8 fractions). The fi, values range between 26,500 and 415,000, and [T]] between 26 and 175 ml./g. The following Mark-Houwink relationships are obtained:[71](ml./g.)= 2.85 x. fiv0. 68'O.''(toluene)= 3.78 x ivo. 66'0.02 (chlorobenzene)
