A novel near field through-wall imaging (TWI) algorithm with ability in the presence of wall ambiguities is proposed in this paper. On the foundation of analyzing the drawback of back projection algorithm, the near field radiation theory of dipole is applied to transfer the far filed sampling data to near filed dada. Then under the preface of calculating the delay time, the near filed data is back projected to the image space to get the reflection coefficient for targets behind the wall. The capability of the new algorithm to detect the targets is verified by finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD). And the influence of the wall parameter to imaging resolution is analyzed. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can estimate the shape of targets well and improve the quality of imaging.
