The mature and immature stages of Simulium (Morops) yonokuniense n., sp. are described, based on specimens collected from Yonakuni Is., Ryukyu Islands, Japan. This species possesses some exceptional characters, such as spotted wings, enlarged calcipala and pupal saw-like projections on the antennal sheaths.
