In order to face up challenges in the e-Learning community, it is essential to be able to integrate instructional strategies in learning objects, in a flexible way. The Knowledge Puzzle is an on-going research project aiming at dynamically generating learning resources called Learning Knowledge Objects based on instructional theories. We propose here an alternative to the learning object repository approach which delivers static and black-box learning objects. We base our framework on ontological foundation and we tackle issues as diverse as domain ontology generation from text, learning object indexing, generation, adaptation and standardization.
