Very rare adverse drug reactions can have devastating effects on the future use of the drug. Such rare but potentially lethal reactions often result in withdrawal or restricted use of a drug. The worst such reactions are aplastic annaemia, anaphylaxis, erythema multiforme and hepatitis.
