The Walker-McConnell Scale of Social Competence and School Adjust mentwasdeveloped by two professionals known for their work in behavioral assessment and intervention. Hill M. Walker is a professor of special ed ucation and associate dean of the Division of Special Education and Re habilitation in the College of Education at the University of Oregon, and he is director of the Genter on Human Development, Eugene, Oregon. Scott R. McConnell is an associate professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota.
