A low-cost, in situ digital pre-distortion (DPD) and nonlinear equalization (NLEQ) calibration method for digital arrays is proposed. The proposed calibration method is based on mutual coupling between the Tx and Rx elements and provides straightforward calibration without the need for external components or additional receivers. Simulations of the proposed method for a $9 imes 9$ digital array demonstrate the effectiveness and simplicity of mutual coupling based DPD/NLEQ calibration.
