ウンシュウミカンの省力的な高品質果実生産技術の開発を目的として，新たな栽培法である周年マルチ点滴かん水同時施肥法を開発した．この方式では，カンキツ樹の樹冠下に透湿性マルチシートを敷き，そのシートの下に点滴かん水チューブを敷設する．このチューブを通して，水と液体肥料を自動的に供給し，樹体の水分および栄養状態を制御するシステムである．本報告ではこのシステムに用いるかん水チューブにおける圧水と水量の関連，チューブの敷設方法，透湿性マルチの耐久性などの特徴を明らかにし，本方式を極早生ウンシュウに導入利用する場合のかん水施肥基準管理法などを策定した．
