This group reports the direct observation of the coexistence of ferromagnetism and superconductivity in UCoGe by scanning SQUID microscopy. Comparing the observations to models for flux expulsion and of the vortex state, they conclude that this compound presents a spontaneous vortex phase in zero applied field.
