This case report describes a patient with interstitial fibrosis 4 years after poisoning by hydrogen sulfide. Hydrogen sulfide causes pulmonary edema and is also toxic to the nervous system. Long-term pulmonary sequelae of hydrogen sulfide poisoning has not been reported frequently in the literature. (C) 2001 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
