Differences in measures of sexual behavior between strains of the house mouse (M. musculus) and their relation to differences in the levels of plasma testosterone are discussed. A significant negative correlation between measures of sexual behavior and plasma testosterone was found. This correlation was not behaviorally mediated and could be demonstrated for some of the behavioral measures in an F2 generation.
