The incidence of positional plagiocephaly (PP) has risen from 2% to 5% to 20% to 46% since the inception of the Back to Sleep campaign in 1992.1 PP results from external pressure being applied to the head causing the bone to flatten at the site of applied pressure with compensatory growth in other areas.
