Proof. The expressions for the parameters, and the equation for/2~ can be easily verified using (1) and (2), 1 gm--< n follows from the fact that P~ 2 and P~ 2 are nonnegative, and the inequalities for/, and~ come from the fact that the other p~ are nolmegative.
