本文的主要目的是利用特征和的傅里叶展开式和Dirichlet l -函数的中值定理来研究D. H. Lehmer数与其反模（奇素数）之差的渐近性质。还给出了一个有趣的均方值公式。
The main purpose of this paper is to use the Fourier expansion for character sums and the mean value theorem of Dirichlet L–functions to study the asymptotic property of the difference between a D. H. Lehmer number and its inverse modulop(an odd prime). A interesting mean square value formula is also given.
