This article aims at validating a French measure of psychological empowerment at work, following Spreitzer's (1995) four-dimensional conceptualization. To do so, this instrument was administered to three samples of Canadian workers. Study 1 (N = 120) explored the factorial structure of the French instrument and verified its psychometric properties. Then, Study 2 was conducted with two independent samples (N = 222, N = 248) to confirm the factorial structure of the instrument and to verify its nomological validity. Results indicate that the French instrument has a factorial structure consistent with Spreitzer's (1995) conceptualization and that this measure is correlated with antecedents and outcomes included in its nomological network.
