The Unit 4 was out of operation for shroud exchange work, but it made a mysterious hydrogen explosion in the Unit 4 reactor building. It was about 5 months later that the TEPCO staff found a clear evidence of this mystery. The Unit 3 and the Unit 4 plant shares an exhaust stack for release to the environment. They found a trace of reverse hydrogen gas flow from the exhaust stack to the Unit 4 building. I searched for ignition sources of the hydrogen explosion and presumed that it was a spark on impact of the air duct expansion due to room temperature increase.
