This study evaluated the effectiveness of 剖 HN-02 ， liquid food combined with wh 巴 ypeptides (whey protein hydroly-sate) ， on the increase in serum interl 巴 ukin(IL)-61evel after intestinal ischemia/reperfusion. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were underwent superior mesenteric artery oc c1 usion for 45 min followed by reperfusion for 1 hr under urethane anesthesia. Test substance was administered into the duodenum 1 hr before the induction of ischemia. Serum IL-6 level was measured in course of time by ELISA. In the control rats ， serum IL-6 level significantly increased in course of time aft 巴 risch 巴 mia/reperfusionas compared with sham-operated rats. MHN-02 significan t1 y inhibited the increase in serum IL-6 level as compared with the control rats. The above results show that MHN-02 may be a usefulliquid food for hyper-cytokinaemia in the patients with severe gut ischemic shock.
