Moreover Stylochrrs alexandrinus was previously found only by Steinb&k (1937) in the fishery grounds near Alexandria and his description was based only on three preserved specimens. The presence of the species along the Tuscan coasts allowed a description of the living worm and a more detailed description of the external and internal anatomy.
